Copper Coating
We have completed a number of copper coating applications all proving very successful. We will apply the coating of your choice – we have had great success with both Coppercoat® and Coppershield 2000.
What we do
We gently scrape all antifouling off by hand then lightly abrade, and the copper coating is then applied. Note that we do not shot blast the boats as we find this to be heavy handed and it aerates and undulates the hull.
If required, we can also apply West System epoxy coatings as a barrier coat, which is done after the abrading – the hull is screeded with epoxy, sanded, then filled with epoxy as required again, before 4 coats of West System epoxy are applied (3 containing aluminium barrier coat), then the hull is washed and lightly abraded before the copper coating is applied.
If you need further information, please get in touch. We can supply further references from satisfied clients if required.
